Dr. Molly Reynolds
Executive Director of Transformative Learning
Dr. Reynolds is originally from Ironton, Ohio, but now counts Lexington as home. She is a double graduate from UK, earning her BA in Broadcast Journalism and her Ph.D. in Instructional Communication. In addition to her time as a UK student, she has worked at UK for 15 years, spending 7 years teaching in the College of Communication & Information, and 8 years in her current position.
Prior job that shaped her: Dr. Reynolds’ first job as a teaching assistant during her master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati changed her career trajectory. Before stepping into the classroom, Dr. Reynolds wanted to work as a broadcast journalist. After engaging with students inside and outside of the classroom, Dr. Reynolds fell in love with teaching and higher education.
How she describes herself: Enthusiastic, fun-seeking, people person who loves meeting new people and trying new things.
What she enjoys doing outside of work: Spending time with her husband, five kiddos, and shih tzu, reading, and watching a lot of reality tv.
A goal in life: To be my authentic self-every day and encourage others to do the same.
Fun fact: My favorite holiday is Halloween!
