About LeAnn:
LeAnn was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, and is a first-generation college graduate whose family immigrated from Vietnam. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern Kentucky University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. LeAnn began her career at UK with TRIO Student Support Services and later worked in the College of Arts and Sciences as an Academic Advisor before transitioning into her current role as an Integrated Success Coach with The Study Hub. She is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, navigate challenges, and build confidence as they work toward their academic and personal goals.
Prior jobs that shaped her:
Throughout her education and career, LeAnn has gained experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings. Her practicum experiences included an Adult Day Health program, elementary schools, and a final placement with UK TRIO Student Support Services, where she served as a Program Advisor supporting first-generation, low-income, and students with documented disabilities. These experiences strengthened her commitment to serving underserved communities and provided a broad understanding of the academic, personal, and social factors that influence student success. She later worked as an Academic Advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences, where she further developed her skills in student support and academic navigation before transitioning into Integrated Success Coaching.

Open-minded, compassionate, a lifelong learner, and always up for trying new things.
What she enjoys doing outside of work:
LeAnn enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, relaxing outdoors in a hammock, volunteering in the community, and exploring new experiences.
Fun fact:
Throughout high school, LeAnn was the wrestling team manager at Frederick Douglass High School, where she also met her partner!
