Student Involvement Box Office

The Student Involvement Box Office manages ticketing needs for a number of on-campus events, organizations, and venues (excluding Athletics, UK Opera Theatre, UK Theater, and Singletary Center events). The Box Office also acts as a collection hub for Registered Student Organization DanceBlue donations, DanceBlue dancer fees, Alternative Service Break program fees, and other program and registration related fees.

FAQ's

What services are available to registered student organizations?

The Box Office can assist with ticketing for any size of event. Our platform offers easy online ticketing 24/7 (with low ticketing fees) or patrons can purchase in person to save ticketing fees. Event organizers have access to real-time sale status and can offer creative discounts as needed. 

What services are available to non-student organizations?

The Box Office can assist with ticketing any size of event, event registration, and membership fee collection. Our platform offers easy online ticketing 24/7 or patrons can purchase in person to save ticketing fees. The client will have access to real-time sales status, customer registration information, and can offer creative discounts or invitation-only links to customers.

What are the client and customer fees for ticketing services?

UK student organization         $50 or 5% of gross sales

UK Department                       $100 or 12% of gross sales

University                                $125 or 15% of gross sales

Community client                    $200 or 20% of gross sales

Customers pay service fees of $6 per ticket when purchasing online or by phone, and $4 per ticket when purchased in person at the Box Office (239B Gatton Student Center). 

What other services are offered to support my event?

Ticket scanners, mobile hotspots and event staffing can be arranged for additional fees.

How do I request ticketing for my event?

Visit BBNvolved for the Event Ticketing Request  form. Our office will contact you to confirm details within 2-3 days. We request 3-weeks notice before an event can be put on sale.

Summer Bridge Program

Students must meet SSS program eligibility requirements and be accepted into the program prior to being accepted into the Summer Bridge Program.  

The transition from high school to college is an exciting and also challenging time for incoming freshmen.  The summer bridge program is an SSS program that helps incoming students begin building a strong foundation for their success at the University of Kentucky – before and after they arrive on campus. The program consists of two parts (Part I – Virtual Program and Part II – Early Move In/On-Campus Academic Program).  An example of the programming includes:

WRFL

Students interested in the world of media, broadcasting, journalism, DJing, live music and having an awesome time with technology can find a home at WRFL 88.1FM, the SOA supported, student managed radio station serving UK and the Lexington community.

The mission of WRFL is to educate the station members, the greater Lexington community, and the students of the University of Kentucky through its programming in the spirit of the station's noncommercial, educational license. WRFL programming will aim to solely feature artists and genres which are typically unavailable on Lexington's commercial stations.
