Cat Bridegam, M.A. Ed.
Program Coordinator of Supplemental Instruction
Cat Bridegam is a double graduate of the University of Kentucky, earning her BA in Secondary English Education and her MA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to joining the Transformative Learning team, she was a classroom teacher and softball coach. Cat grew up living all over the country following her father’s Army career but has spent a decade in Lexington and is grateful to call the Bluegrass home.
Prior job that shaped her: During her senior year of high school and freshman year of undergrad, Cat was a Physical Therapy Technician at the clinic where she received therapies while a student-athlete. Working with patients from various age groups with various injuries or needs instilled in her a desire to serve others in a meaningful way and inspired her to pursue education as that service.
How she describes herself: Welcoming, loyal, and adventurous.
What she enjoys doing outside of work: Spending time with my family, dogs Lola and Freya, and cats Toulouse and Chunky, camping, reading, and rewatching Schitt’s Creek.
A goal in life: To complete doctoral studies and become the first person in my family with a Ph.D.
Fun fact: I have lived in 9 states and attended 13 schools.
