Eligibility for Services

Any undergraduate student currently enrolled in a degree program at the University of Kentucky is eligible for unlimited use of career services including individual appointments, mock interviews, workshops, on-campus interviewing, and the use of the career resource library. Graduate students currently enrolled at the University of Kentucky are welcome to take advantage of our online resources, attend any of our programming, and make appointments with our advisors.

University of Kentucky alumni who have graduated within the past 12 months are also eligible to make an appointment with a Career Advisor and are invited to our Career Center programs.

Any local, state, national or international employer that provides equal employment opportunities and adheres to the National Association of Colleges and Employers ethical standards as outlined in the "Professional Standards for University Relations and Recruiting" is eligible to use the University of Kentucky Career Center recruitment services.

The Stuckert Career Center at the University of Kentucky is committed to providing privacy of personal information for our clients.

Job/internship listings, on-campus interviewing, and career fair registration are provided through Handshake, which is the Stuckert Career Center's online system. For more details and FAQ's, please visit the information page for Handshake.

Jobs and internships posted on the Handshake system do not mean they have received an endorsement from the Stuckert Career Center. Site users are urged to carefully review job postings and use caution and common sense when applying. Do not disclose social security numbers, credit card information, or bank account numbers to unknown employers. If you receive an emails asking for you to make deposits into your account, do not do so and contact us immediately. 

UK Students and alumni are urged to perform due diligence in researching employers when applying for or accepting off-campus employment. The Stuckert Center staff are available for consultation on how to research prospective employers. Questions about safety, wages, working conditions, or any other aspect of off-campus employment are appropriate and important and should be discussed before accepting employment. The Stuckert Center and UK cannot guarantee terms of employment posted by an employer and are not responsible for employer misconduct.

Student and employer information from Handshake/NACElink may be used to construct aggregate reports that assist Stuckert Career Center in program planning for statistical reports or to inform clients of services and programs that may be of interest. This information may also be used to troubleshoot problems and is accessible only to Stuckert Career Center staff. Any information shared with parties outside of Stuckert Career Center is shared only in aggregate form.
