CARES First-Gen Welcome Events We are excited to welcome everyone!
Scholarship Informational Meeting
William C. Parker Scholarship and First-Gen Scholars are required to attend this session and sign their scholarship contract agreement.
The meeting will include a full overview of the scholarship, an opportunity to meet Program Advisor and connect with fellow scholars.

First-Generation Kickoff Meeting
First-Gen students (non-scholars or do not have a Parker or First-Gen scholarship) are encouraged to attend this meeting to learn about the CARES First-Gen office and the support available to them.

Kickback Celebration and Fair
Celebrate the first week at UK at the annual Kickback—a fun, relaxed event to meet other CARES First-Gen students and the campus partners here to support the students. Enjoy free food, a live DJ and lawn games!
