Throughout the year, CARES First Gen hosts numerous enrichment events designed to support students’ growth and sense of belonging on UK’s campus.

CARES Relaxation Room offers a serene escape where students can rejuvenate with 30-minute massage chair sessions.  The service encourages balance, stress reduction, and a renewed sense of energy, which is essential for academic and personal success.

CARES signature programs include annual events, interactive workshops and celebratory gatherings.

First-Generation advisors collaborate with college advisors to support the success of first-year students. The program advisor monitors the transition into college life, academic progress, early alerts, and midterm grade reports. Students can make an appointment with an advisor through MyUK or by emailing firstgeneration@uky.edu.

Study spaces and resources are available to students.
