CARES First Generation Advising
CARES First Generation advisors collaborate with college advisors to support the success of first-year students. They provide one-on-one and group advising aimed at supporting students' academic, career, and social-emotional goals. The program advisor monitors the transition into college life, academic progress, early alerts, and midterm grade reports. Students can make an appointment with an advisor through myUK .

Click on “Degree Planning and Registration (myUKGPS).”
On the right side of the window, you will see all of your advisors listed, including your CARES First Generation Advisor.
Click on the button that says “Make Appointment” underneath the CARES First Generation Advisor’s name.
