Ways to Connect On-Campus
Career Fairs
Promoting your internships and full-time employment opportunities for UK students and graduates at career fairs is a great way to attract top talent. Here are some effective ways to promote your opportunities:
-
Identify Relevant Career Fairs: Research and identify career fairs in the UK that align with your industry and the types of candidates you're looking to hire.
- Check out our UK Recruiting Calendar to find the ones that fit best with your employer.
-
On your Handshake Career Fair registration ensure that your career opportunities are prominent to allow candidates who are attending the career fair to find your openings.
- UK Career Services encourages students to research employers before the Career Fair.
-
Leverage Online Promotion: Use your company website and social media platforms to promote your participation in the career fair.
- Create engaging posts and share information about the event, your company, and the positions you're looking to fill, and tag #hireblue!
-
Engage with Attendees: Actively engage with attendees by asking questions, discussing their career goals, and explaining how your opportunities align with their aspirations. Be friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in their success.
- At the HireBlue Career Fairs, we offer whiteboards for you to share a great visual so that students are able to see what you are looking to fill.
-
Follow Up: After the career fair, follow up with the candidates who expressed interest in your company. Send thank-you emails, provide additional information and schedule interviews.
- The Stuckert Career Center would be happy to host you for your on-campus
