Ways to Connect On-Campus

Career Fairs

Promoting your internships and full-time employment opportunities for UK students and graduates at career fairs is a great way to attract top talent. Here are some effective ways to promote your opportunities:

  • Identify Relevant Career Fairs: Research and identify career fairs in the UK that align with your industry and the types of candidates you're looking to hire.
  • On your Handshake Career Fair registration ensure that your career opportunities are prominent to allow candidates who are attending the career fair to find your openings.

    • UK Career Services encourages students to research employers before the Career Fair.
  • Leverage Online Promotion: Use your company website and social media platforms to promote your participation in the career fair.

    • Create engaging posts and share information about the event, your company, and the positions you're looking to fill, and tag #hireblue!
  • Engage with Attendees: Actively engage with attendees by asking questions, discussing their career goals, and explaining how your opportunities align with their aspirations. Be friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in their success.
    • At the HireBlue Career Fairs, we offer whiteboards for you to share a great visual so that students are able to see what you are looking to fill.
  • Follow Up: After the career fair, follow up with the candidates who expressed interest in your company. Send thank-you emails, provide additional information and schedule interviews.

    • The Stuckert Career Center would be happy to host you for your on-campus
