Kanisha Boleware
Assistant Director, Career Advising
Kanisha always had a passion of helping others. Her studies focused primarily on developing in core areas of education, leadership, and counseling. She earned a Master of Arts in Education degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Western Kentucky University. She has six years of experience working in academic advising for the Farmer School of Business at Miami, OH as well as Indiana University Southeast where she also served as a lecturer teaching career related courses and business management.
Prior job that shaped her: Before moving to the Stuckert Career Center, Kanisha worked in multi– Higher Ed. roles including admissions, advising, and teaching. Her experiences have equipped her to best serve students in their success as future professionals.
What she enjoys doing outside of work: Spending time with her family, serving in the community, enjoying music, painting, and reading.
A goal in life: To make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Fun Fact: Kanisha was in the visual arts magnet in high school and a member of concert band where she played the trumpet.
