Alumni Gym
The historic Alumni Gym is part of the UK Student Center on Avenue of Champions. It is a state-of-the-art fitness center designed to provide opportunities for open recreation exercise, group fitness classes, and personal training.
The open-concept design houses insert number of pieces of weight training equipment, which includes Olympic platforms, plate-loaded equipment, barbells, and dumbbells, cardio training equipment, group fitness studios, a cycling studio, a combatives mat room, lockers, and shower facilities.
It is a great place to gather‚ make new friends‚ and take a positive step towards lifelong health and fitness habits.

Access
Students
Current University of Kentucky students who are enrolled in regular, on-campus classes, and eligible BCTC students who have paid the recreation fee through the UK e–Store, or who are living in UK undergraduate housing, may use Campus Recreation facilities by presenting their student ID card. Students who are enrolled in the current semester, but who do not pay the Recreation Fee as part of their tuition fees, are eligible to purchase a membership.
Employees
Current UK and BCTC employees (Cooper Drive campus only)‚ retirees‚ Donovan Scholars‚ and VA employees are eligible to purchase a Campus Recreation membership.
Spouses
Spouses of current Campus Recreation members are eligible to purchase memberships.
Campus Recreation memberships provide access to Alumni Gym, Lancaster Aquatic Center, and the Johnson Center.

Day-use Equipment Check-out
The following equipment is available for members while in the Campus Recreation facilities and spaces.
- Weight belts
- Barbell Pads
- Elastic Weight Bands
- Jump Ropes
- Bicycle Locks
- Hair dryers
Equipment can be checked out at the control desk once the member has accessed the facility. All equipment must be returned the same day to the Alumni Gym control desk before the facility closes.
Parking & Bus Service
A pay lot is located on Limestone St. (PS #5) across from the Alumni Gym.
Check the UK Parking web site for rules pertaining to all university parking lots, UK parking permits, and visitor parking. Parking rules are subject to change without notice. The campus bus Blue and White routes have a stop on Avenue of Champions in front of the Student Center.
