First-Generation Pinning Ceremony
Celebrating First-Generation Graduates
All graduating first-generation students (neither parent nor guardian has earned a four-year degree) are invited to attend the First-Generation Pinning Ceremony. This special tradition celebrates the accomplishments, community, and persistence of UK’s first-generation graduates. Following the ceremony, we will host a reception with hors d'oeuvres, a photo booth, and a celebration of our graduates. This event is a wonderful opportunity for first-gen students, faculty, staff, and families to come together and honor this milestone.

If you're part of this graduating class, we invite you to RSVP and join us for this special event. The deadline for students to RSVP is April 11th. Please complete the form by clicking the RSVP button. Submitting this form secures your spot at the First-Generation Pinning Ceremony—we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Parents and Families Planning for Pinning
We can’t wait for you to cheer on your Wildcat at the First-Generation Pinning Ceremony! To ensure a smooth experience, we encourage you to arrive early to allow time for parking and navigation. Paid parking is available in the Cornerstone Lot and the UKY Gatton Student Center Lot. Once parked, make your way to the Gatton Student Center Ballroom, where you’ll watch your graduate be recognized and pinned.
