Established in 2022, Prevention, Outreach, and Wellness Education Resources (POWER) is a Student Success unit positioned as an easily accessible one-stop location providing educational opportunities focused on promoting healthy behaviors among students.

POWER resides under the Student Well-Being area, including Campus Recreation, the Counseling Center, TRACS (Triage, Referral, and Crisis Support), the Disability Resource Center, and the Violence Intervention and Prevention Center. We employ health specialists in general health and wellness coaching, nutrition counseling, tobacco cessation, alcohol and substance use, and sexual health education.

Whether it’s stress management, substance misuse, sexual health, health and wellness coaching, mental health, or nutrition, POWER has resources and programs ready to meet student needs.

Mission

POWER is committed to empowering and supporting students by fostering a culture of holistic wellness through evidence-informed, innovative, and inclusive programming that promotes lifelong healthy behaviors.
