Student Support Services
Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally-funded TRIO program, housed in UK's Office for Student Success, designed to work with students who are first generation, low income, and/or those who have a documented disability. We provide a holistic approach to working with students designed to aid in retention and graduation.
Mission: We are dedicated to guide and support you on becoming our next success story. Our staff is available to work with you on a one-on-one and small group basis. We provide a comprehensive program of academic support combined with personal and career exploration that will maximize your chances for persistence to graduation.
Eligibility: Students must meet at least one of the following qualifications.
-
First-Generation College Student (neither parent has a bachelor’s degree)
-
Low Income (qualifies for grants on financial aid)
-
Documented Disability (registered with UK’s Disability Resource Center)
If you meet the eligibility requirements, the first step is to apply to the SSS program. After you are accepted, you can begin participating in the program and utilizing the services we offer. Interested in SSS?
