CSI staff use a multifaceted, holistic approach to our case management; below are many of the ways we provide support to our students.
Students who have multiple stressors in their personal, family, or academic life often don’t know what to tackle first. We are here to listen, understand, and help you to begin prioritizing your needs.
There are many resources, both on and off campus. Learning what is available and a good fit for your needs is something we can help with. Case managers have in-depth knowledge of the resources and can walk you through every step in making those connections.
Sometimes students need to take a step that wasn’t in their original plan such as withdrawing, filing an appeal, or taking an incomplete grade. Figuring out what you need to do or who you need to talk to can be daunting and we are happy to guide you through the appropriate process.
Once you know the range of support available to you, we are here to help you develop a plan of action so that you can focus on taking manageable steps towards achieving your goals.
We all experience unexpected events during our lifetimes, even during our college years. Students experiencing the loss or illness of a loved one, an accident, a physical or mental health emergency, or other situations that are distressing and disruptive, often need a range of support. We are here to let you know we care about what you are going through and can help to support and advocate for you as you navigate decisions and resource connections specific to your needs.
