Christie Maier, M.Ed.
Associate Director of Peer Supported Learning Programs
Christie Maier currently oversees the administration of Transformative Learning's Peer Supported Learning services, including The Study's peer tutoring program, Supplemental Instruction, and Presentation U: Speaking and Writing Center. Christie joined the TL team in January 2015, starting as the Program Coordinator, and brought with her extensive experience in peer leadership and a passion for student success. Christie holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and an M.Ed. in Student Affairs and Higher Education from the University of South Carolina.
Prior job that shaped her: While at Colorado State, Christie worked in the Student Leadership and Civic Engagement office as a Student Program Coordinator. This position opened her eyes to the field of student affairs and the value of peer leadership.

What she enjoys doing outside of work: Time with family, being outdoors, reading, and exploring new restaurants

Fun fact: Christie has had MANY jobs in the past including Florist, Americorps NCCC Team Leader, Wildland Fire Fighter, and Ski Instructor.
