About Jayla:

Jayla is a recent graduate of Centre College with a B.S in Psychology. She moved to Lexington to pursue her Master’s in Strategic Human Resources and Analytics, as a conduit to her pursuit of Industrial Organizational Psychology. Jayla loves to travel, spend time with friends, cook, and listen to podcasts. She looks forward to collaborating with students to foster a sense of confidence that they possess the tools to adapt to challenges faced, academically or otherwise, in their college careers. 

Prior job that shaped them:

Being a first-year mentor at Centre College really ignited my passion for working with undergraduate students. Watching them grow and assisting them along the way was more rewarding than they’ll ever know. I am so excited for them to become our future leaders and educators. 

How they describe themselves: Dedicated, Lifelong Learner, Foodie, Trustworthy, and Traveler  

A goal in life: To skydive!  

Fun fact: Jayla has traveled to 8 countries.
