Instructor Qualifications
- Preferred Master’s Degree (minimum of 18 credits of graduate hours required)
- Previous teaching experience or current student-facing role at the University of Kentucky
- Approval from immediate supervisor
- Complete training requirements (UK 101 training, FERPA training, ISCA training, & Title IX training)
Training Requirements:
- New Instructor training held in May
- Online asynchronous training in the summer
Compensation:
- 1 credit = $1,250
- 2 credits = $2,000
Peer Instructor Requirements
- 5-6 hours/week commitment
- Attend UK 101/201 class weekly
- Academic good standing
- Passionate about supporting fellow Wildcats
- Previous completion of UK 101/201 is preferred
- Complete all training requirements (UK 101 training, FERPA, etc.)
Training:
- New peer instructor training in May
- Asynchronous online training in the summer
- In-person training for all instructors in August
Compensation:
- 1 credit hour = $400
- 2 credit hours = $500
