At VIP, our mission is to support and advocate for individuals impacted by interpersonal violence while engaging the University of Kentucky and the surrounding community in interpersonal violence education and prevention. We believe we all have a role to play in keeping others safe from harm.

People visit the VIP Center for the first time for many reasons. People may want to learn more about how to get involved, schedule a prevention education program, or make an appointment with a confidential advocate.  Our VIP staff stands ready to serve you, whether it is because you or someone you care about has experienced interpersonal violence, which might include intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking, or because you want to learn more about VIP.  No matter your reason, expect to be warmly greeted and immediately connected.

Congrats graduates! We're so proud of you and your hard work.

Summer 2026 is officially here!  While things slow down on campus, know that you can still reach out to the VIP Center all summer long to speak with a free and confidential survivor advocate, or request a prevention workshop.  Contact us at 859-257-3574 or email us at vipcenter@uky.edu to schedule.

Looking for professional development for your staff, colleagues, or group?  Consider hosting a Green Dot workshop in person or virtually and becoming a Green Dot Spot on campus.

Do you have new staff or group members joining this summer?  Would your returning staff benefit from a refresher?  The VIP Center would be happy to provide an overview of our services and programs.  Contact us to schedule.

Violence is preventable and not a forgone conclusion that we must tolerate.  Together, we have the power to shape a violence-free campus!

It's Official! We have moved to the Multidiscipinary Science Building (MDS)
