Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services

The DRC provides various services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. They can include sign language interpreters, real-time captioning services (CART), and note-takers. Questions regarding these services, or any other applicable Deaf/Hard of Hearing Services should be directed to DRC Consultant responsible for coordinating Deaf/Hard of Hearing services.

Dietary Accommodations

UK Dining believes dining on campus is a quintessential part of the university experience. For locations, meal plans, and nutrition information, please visit the UK Dining website. If you have a severe food allergy, celiac, or other physiological condition requiring dietary restrictions or accommodations to the dining plan, please register for DRC services. Once you have registered with the DRC, you will be referred to Nutritionist serving as the liaison with UK Dining.

Door to Door Accessible Transportation Kentucky Paratransit Services

Kentucky Paratransit is an on-campus transportation service for students and employees with temporary and permanent mobility impairments. The program is a partnership between UK Transportation Services and the Disability Resource Center (DRC) and is designed to assist individuals in reaching classes, jobs, or other on-campus activities. Paratransit Service is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters.

Service and Support Animals

Depending on the specific type of animal, service, service in training and support, students have differing responsibilities in terms of approval to be on campus or in campus buildings.
