In collaboration with POWER, TRACS, UK Counseling Center and UHS, current students can facilitate a self-referral to meet with a UK Campus Recreation Fitness professional to discuss their needs and program options.

Fitness Assessments use TrainerMetrics software, for personalized assessments based upon individual goals and needs and last about 30-60 minutes.
Fit Academy
Fit Academy is a unique educational opportunity for UK students to become certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors. If you like to motivate others to reach their health and fitness goals or have ever thought about getting certified to be a group fitness instructor, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Fit2You Outreach
Plan your event with Campus Recreation
Submit a Fit2You Service Request below and the Fitness department will work with you in scheduling and planning for your event.
The Program is free and options include Fitness classes or education sessions, generally 60 minutes in length. Programs can be tailored to your group's needs.
For on-campus events that are not in a Campus Recreation facility, reserve your event site through the Office of University Events. In the Event Description section, please identify that you are requesting UK Campus Recreation Fitness Staff to lead the event with a Certified Fitness Instructor.

Exercise Referral Program
How it Works
Students enrolled in the ERP program work with a Certified Personal Trainer with the goal of learning how to incorporate physical activity and exercise into their daily lifestyle. If you are a UK student that would benefit from physical activity, click the button below to get started!
Available Options: Fitness Assessment, Facility Equipment Orientation, Basic Exercise Program Design, 5-Private Training Sessions led by Certified Personal Trainer, and 10-Private Training Sessions led by a Certified Personal Trainer.
By the end of the ERP program, the goal is for each participant to meet ACSM/CDC/ US Department of Health recommendations for weekly Physical Activity for Adults.
ACSM Physical Activity Guidelines include:
- At least 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity Aerobic Exercise weekly or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity, or an equivalent combination of moderate/vigorous aerobic activity.
- Conduct at least moderately intense muscle-strengthening activities that include all major muscle groups, two or more days a week.
