Veteran Readiness and Employment (Chapter 31):
If you have a service-connected disability; an impairment of an ability to prepare for, obtain, or retain employment consistent with a veteran's abilities, aptitudes, and interests, Veteran Readiness and Employment can help. This program—also known as Chapter 31 or VR&E—helps you explore employment options and address education or training needs. In some cases, your family members may also qualify for certain benefits.

VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC):
VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) is a collaborative program between the Department of Veteran Affairs and the University of Kentucky in assisting veteran students and their qualified dependents in achieving on-campus benefits assistance and counseling that will lead to completion of their education.
The VetSuccess Counselor can assist with:
- Choosing vocational goals
- Chapter benefits comparisons and limited access to Ch. 33 GI Bill benefits
- VA benefit questions
- Helping eligible students apply for VA benefits
- Vocational testing and interest inventories
- Assist with VA healthcare appointments
- Connecting eligible dependents and veterans with VA regional office information
- Assist with adjustment counseling to eliminate issues that prevent the veteran, dependent, or service member from finishing school.
