VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) is a collaborative program between the Department of Veteran Affairs and the University of Kentucky in assisting veteran students and their qualified dependents in achieving on-campus benefits assistance and counseling that will lead to completion of their education.

The VetSuccess Counselor can provide you with:

  • Choosing vocational goals
  • Chapter benefits comparisons and limited access to Ch. 33 GI Bill benefits
  • VA benefit questions
  • Helping eligible students apply for VA benefits
  • Vocational testing and interest inventories
  • Assist with VA healthcare appointments
  • Connecting eligible dependents and veterans with VA regional office information
  • Assist with adjustment counseling to eliminate issues that prevent the veteran, dependent, or service member from finishing school.

Also, call to learn about the Veteran Readiness and Employment (Chapter 31):

If you have a service-connected disability that limits your ability to work or prevents you from working, Veteran Readiness and Employment (formerly called Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) can help. This program—also known as Chapter 31 or VR&E—helps you explore employment options and address education or training needs. In some cases, your family members may also qualify for certain benefits.
