The University of Kentucky’s Academic Advising team, housed within Student Success, provides coordinated support for academic advisors across campus. This structure is designed to promote consistency in advising practices, professional development, assessment and student outcomes, while supporting a cohesive and student-centered advising experience.
We seek to ensure that students receive high-quality guidance regardless of major, while still recognizing and supporting the distinct academic cultures and needs of individual colleges. Through this approach, we foster collaboration among advising units, strengthen shared standards and expectations and enhance the institution’s ability to respond effectively to evolving student needs.
