If you are eligible for a summer Pell Grant and/or Federal Direct Loan, the aid offers will be added to your aid package. You will be sent an email message when your aid offer is ready. You can view and accept it via myUK portal. Select the current academic year to view summer offers, as summer is our last term of the academic year.

Summer Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements
You must meet all other Eligibility Requirements, including admission to an eligible academic program, and the standards set forth in University Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Summer Financial Aid Steps
1. File a 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), if you qualify for Federal Pell Grant during the summer, your Pell Grant will be offered based on remaining eligibility from the 2025-2026 academic year. To be considered for the Federal Student Aid programs listed below for summer enrollment, you must have a processed (valid) 2025-26 FAFSA on file by June 30, 2026.
2. If applying for TEACH, complete TEACH Grant Initial and Subsequent Counseling and Agreement to Serve (ATS)
3. If your parent is applying for PLUS, have parent complete a Direct Parent PLUS Loan Application.
4. If you are a graduate or professional student and you are applying for a Graduate PLUS Loan, complete a Direct PLUS Loan Application for Graduate/Professional Students.

If you are not enrolled during the summer, but want to work in a Federal Work-Study job during the term, you must have processed (valid) 2025-26 FAFSA and 2026-27 FAFSA on file.
